My name is Yanet Gallegos I am the Family Outreach Liaison. I was born in Michoacán, Mexico, and I moved to California when I was 13 years old. I have been working with Central Unified for the past 9 years, and I am very excited to be full-time at Central High School.
I want to help connect families and their students to resources they may need, as well as provide translation assistance with teachers or counselors. Additionally, I am here to organize workshops that can benefit our families in better understanding the California educational system.
As a learner of English myself, I want students with languages other than English to also feel welcome at this school. I want them to see in me that they can achieve their goal of graduating from college because where there's a will, there's a way, and language should not be a barrier to becoming a professional and accomplishing your goals.
